As an ardent lover of music I feel I should make a post about karnatik music here.

Many of us do know the song am going to post here..but I wonder how many of us ever tried to know its meaning...

So..as my prayer to The Devi (on the occassion of Navaratri) ..here is the song...

Your curly ("suruchira") tresses ("veni") resemble the bees ("bambhara"). Devas ("Sura") worship ("nuta") your auspicious form ("kalyaani"). You have ("lola") unequaled ("nir-upama") virtuous ("shuba") qualities ("guna"). You ("sheela") give ("prada") endless ("narathi") victory ("jaya").
