Lets learn from a Dog!!

What A Dog Teaches

A dog teaches us a lot of things, but we never seem to take notice. These are some
of the lessons you might learn…

· When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
· Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
· Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
· When it’s in your best interest, practice obedience.
· Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.
· Take naps and stretch before rising.
· Run romp and play daily.
· Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
· Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
· On warm days stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
· When you’re happy dance around and wag your entire body.
· No matter how often you’re scolded don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout. Run right back and make friends.
· Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
· Eat with gusto and enthusiasm, stop when you have had enough.
· Be loyal.
· Never pretend to be something you’re not.
· If what you want lies buried dig until you find it.
· When someone is having a bad day be silent, sit close by… and nuzzle them gently

Anonymous comments

I hate anonymous comments on blogs.
I think people who are scared to even reveal their identity are not entitled to comment on anyone.

Today I got a comment on my other blog saying I am discussing sensitive family matters which are personal when nobody asks me to do that.

To be frank; no one ever asked me to blog about anything.
Its my will and wish and I dont need to think about others unless and untill I blog on anything which is objectionably vulgar.

I would like to thank that Anonymous blogger beacuse I have disabled Anonymous commenting now on my blog.

Time to CHANGE for Indians

Everyone seems to be voicing out their opinion on the recent Mumbai terrorist attack.
I was reading an article written by an Indian in US, and here he goes:

"US was attacked only once on the mainland after World War II. They taught the lesson of a lifetime to the attackers. There has not been a single attack on the mainland in last 7 years. "Ek parinda bhi par nahi mar sakata"! is a fact in US. There is a reason why it is a super power. US is called as the land of the free and home of the braves! What should I call my country? Land of the corrupt politicians and home of the gutless leaders?"

Words like these pain me..prick me deep down in my heart..
And I guess this is what should happen..

However my dear NRI friends should remember that there is a stark difference between India and US.
India can never be US and US can never be India.
We are too varied and too different to be compared with any other nation on this planet.

Dont blame the Govt.; not much is going to change atleast in this aspect; be it either BJP or Congress.

What should change is the attitude of people.
Next time before you try to bribe a traffic constable or a Govt officer; THINK.
Such problems seem to be very minor and petty but they are collectively destroying India on the whole.

People should protest and its high time we stop displaying the laid-back-Indian attitude.

Come let us join hands and prove that India can really SHINE!!
May God bless us and Jai Hind!!

The art of dealing with people

Just as I was about to rush to my local supermarket to fetch some groceries while returning from my work(you should understand that I was really tired here); I found a man asking me for few minutes of my time.
This guy was apparently from some NGO and he asked me if I have heard about them.
I just said 'NO' and this astonished him so much; he was very upset with me and then said "What do you do here?" He sounded like a school teacher frowning at his student for not doing the home-work.

I told him I work for xxx company.
Then he started explaining to me about why electric bulbs shouldnt be used, how is electricity produced, why should we be using energy saver lamps, blah blah and blah.
All the while I could do nothing but nod my head like an idiot but I was not the only one doing that there.

I wanted to cut his conversation short and hence asked him "So, what can I do for you guys?" to which he smiled and said "You can do so much if you dont interrupt me".

As a result I had to listen to blah blah blah again.

After all that he asks me " So what do you think of us - good/better/best or worst" with a smile. It was so funny to me; anyway I didnt reply to that.

Then comes the climax. They want people to give them either their credit card/bank account details which I didnt understand why we should be doing to register for an NGO by listening to some XYZ for 15 mins.I refused to do so and the guy was apparently upset.
He was cursing at the back of his mind.

What surprised me and made me write a post on my blog after a long time was how can people be so foolish/illogical.
He says I need not contribute anything rightaway but I should be giving my bank account details.

Anyway; I would like to conclude saying all these NGOs and social workers should be trained in the art of dealing with people.
